Another interesting note: Ann Becker is one of the two Republicans on the West Chester Board of Trustees, and the school board member who was so harassed that he filed the restraining order was also one of her fellow Republicans on the school board. She seems to especially go after those in her own party who are not deranged enough for her liking.

Thanks. Enquiring minds want to know.

It just struck me that the data center ban and the property tax repeal demonstrate one thing: No one trusts our gerrymandered legislature to do the right thing - not even other Republicans.

Like, you can imagine a regime that makes data centers pay their own way and closely watches their emissions. I think that's basically what Acton is promising. But it hasn't even occurred to Ohioans to expect more from their R-led government. The only options are to give away the store or shut it all down.

Same with property taxes. The Rs are actually going the other way. They already axed the top income tax rate, and if they eliminate it altogether that'll put more pressure on property taxes. The easiest move would be to restore the top rate and devote it to property tax relief, but that doesn't seem to be under consideration.

The Medicare thing is the cherry on top. You've controlled this program for 30 years and want to run on corruption? It literally did not occur to them that they might just ... do a good job.

It hasn't occurred to Ohio voters, either. Crazy.

A perfect example of why I avoid all local news sites on social media - they are full of wackos and a waste of time. I make a distinction between the politics page and the official Enquirer platform and opinion pages. I hope Mr. Love does respond to you. And from reading accounts in the Enquirer over the years it was always clear that Miss Darbi was a wacko, to put it mildly.

Thank you for turning your powerful spotlight on this area.

The Greater Cincinnati Politics Facebook page is horrible. I didn't realize the Enquirer puts its name on this unmoderated sewer until I read this.

As someone who grew up when subscribing to newspapers was normal, it was hard for me to cancel the daily paper 10 or 15 years ago. The Enquirer had been in steady decline ever since Gannett acquired it, and I've not seen any reason to resubscribe since.

I miss having a robust local newspaper covering city civics and business. WVXU public radio does a great job, as does the Cincy Business Courier, but it's not the same as having a daily newspaper.

I am somehow seeing her Facebook posts ( can't seem to get rid of them) and while this piece is excellent in terms of the Enquirer's culpability- it fails to truly describe the heinous nature of the shit she posts. She's truly a domestic terrorist targeting children.

The enquirer used to have loads of neighborhood groups too but apparently shut those down (due to liability?). I wonder if that is where this one is going.
