Get a load of Derek Myers, a weird little freak running for Congress
Myers enjoys the support of Fraternal Order of Lodge #9 president Jeff Simpson.
Open Congressional races bring all the freaks to the yard. And as you might have noticed, many of them get elected to the once-prestigious halls of Congress!
Former Rep. George Santos (R-New York) recently proved that it’s possible to fabricate your entire biography and win an election. If only he had committed credit card fraud against other Representatives and their mothers, he might still be in that position today!
Santos’ successful run, however, will only inspire the worst of us to think they can do the same. And wouldn’t you know it? Derek Myers, a fired former aide to Santos, if you can believe that, is running for the Congressional seat soon to be vacated by the retiring Brad Wrenstrup.
Myers first came on my radar this weekend when he launched a bizarre and racist attack against State Senator Niraj Antani (R-Miamisburg), a fellow OH-2 Congressional candidate.
“Where is Seal Team 6 when you need them?” Myers asked rhetorically. “Folks, we don’t want a foreigner representing us in Washington. Stay the 17 miles across the border. We deserve someone who actually lives in our congressional district. We are going to take him out at the ballot box like we did Bin Laden.”
It’s worth noting that Antani is not, in fact, a foreigner. And even if he were, he’d be entitled to run for Congress as a naturalized citizen. But Antani was born in America.
And Osama bin Laden was not, in fact, “taken out at the ballot box.”
I had an old electrician foreman who said he always enjoyed when people only needed a few words to offer searing insight into their worldviews. That post alone was all I needed to see to know that I’d see Myers in Hell.
But crazily enough, that was only the beginning of the tips that began to roll into the Patriots Caucus headquarters.
In the past, Myers was a self-described journalist based in Chillicothe. That career, however, went off a cliff for many reasons.
“I did some initial background on Derek Myers for a prospective client,” said one politically connected Republican lawyer. “His business model was that he would essentially extort companies; if they paid him, he wouldn’t write bad stories about them. He would even let them edit his stories. If they wouldn’t pay, then he would go full jihad on them!”
Another Patriots Caucus member relayed that Myers’ outlet got exposed for advertising writers that didn’t exist. It goes into what many others have said about him: Myers is insane and doesn’t strike anyone as the type that would seek medical care for the condition.
Given that, you probably won’t be surprised to learn that there’s a video of him being taken to the hospital after he found himself on the wrong end of a vicious beating:
You also probably won’t be shocked to learn that Myers has an extensive criminal history.
His charges include such gems as impersonation of a police officer, criminal misconduct, falsification, misconduct in an emergency zone, and something called “safety disregard.”
All of this happened in the past two years, with some happening earlier this year!
Make no mistake, the beautiful person reading this post and I have about as much chance of winning the OH-2 Congressional seat as Myers. Given his disgusting history, oddsmakers would probably favor both of us!
Usually, I wouldn’t even bother writing about such a disturbed individual and their suicidal Congressional mission. But while perusing Myers’ Twitter timeline yesterday, I couldn’t help but notice that he has a powerful ally in Columbus: Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #9 President Jeff Simpson.
I’ve written about Simpson in the past:
A fellow Columbus police officer recently filed an ethics complaint against Simpson for making “racially insensitive comments” on Twitter.
The tweet in question had Simpson defending lynching as something that “back in the day was the penalty you got for doing really bad things. Today you get nothing.”
Given those sorts of views, it’s unsurprising that Simpson is a big fan of Myers’ tweets. I discovered several Myers tweets that Simpson had “liked,” including one single tweet that labeled Simspon a hero, the deceased George Floyd as a career thug, and misgendered trans rights activist Dylan Mulvaney.
It’s insightful to know that if the Columbus police president had his way, these are the types of candidates that he’d be sending to Congress. And that, even while under investigation for “racially insensitive tweeting,” Simpson can’t help but shit on the legacy of George Floyd as a “career criminal” three years after his brutal death at the hands of a police officer who is now in prison for the brutal murder.
All because some weirdo on the internet called him a hero!
It makes you wonder what they truly believe in their hearts, given the views Simpson and Myers espouse in public. Because if fascism ever comes to America, it will inevitably be guys like them gleefully paving that road to Hell.
THOSE WMDs. Henry Kissinger, war criminal loved by America’s ruling class, finally dies… How “Goon Squad” deputies got away with a year of brutality… A warm outpost in Kyoto… A darker, sadder Succession… America is starting to love Thaddeus Stevens, the “best-hated man” in U.S. history.
