Council President Shannon Hardin is alleged to have said that City Council is "stuck" with the cantankerous and often-drunk realtor as a member of the legislative body.
Ole Shannon isn’t the brightest but I’d think he’d be smart enough to know they could have recruited a candidate to oppose Regrettable Remy.
I’ve known Shannon since he was”graduated” college. I gave him first job “out of college”actual. Not what I’d call an intellectual heavyweight that is for sure. Not to mention if he lied about his college graduation , what else will he lie about?
There are a lot of dumb-asses in politics. But I actually think Hardin is highly intelligent, which is what makes the caping for Remy so infuriating.
And if he's going to run for mayor as some change agent, he'll have to do more than simply not being Mayor Suburbs. And now that all the facts are out, he's fallen short on Remy, because of the insular nature of council.
As a Coleman Alum years 2009-2011 I respectfully disagree w your assessment of Mr. Hardin. Oh the stories I could tell. Bankston was our intern back then… the intern you prayed didn’t end up assigned to your project that is.
I feel like Hardin can't be Mayor for the very minimum of that City is constantly going to get sued for things that he says out loud that he shouldn't. Further, based on the things he said at Council on Monday, and the things in writing, Remy isn't the only member of Council that needs to attend management training classes. IJS.

John Tannous is Chief of Staff for City Council and takes his orders from Hardin. I have to assume Hardin directed him to show Ms. Townsend the door after her attorney sent the demand letter to City Hall.
Is sending him to AA meetings or another program of his choice not an option? Seems like the root cause his behavior needs to be addressed first.
