Football? In this Economy?
Happiness has never been my forte. And that was before I broke my jaw in three places and had to go two-and-a-half weeks sucking meals through a straw.
I’ve stopped answering 99% of my text messages which mainly consist of “How are you?” and/or “Do you need anything?”
Well, I’ve felt better if you can believe that, and unless you’re offering me a new jaw or ankle then I’m not really interested in what you’re selling.
My cantankerous mood is naturally spilling into other arenas of my life. Yesterday, Ohio State “paused” voluntary workouts with the “expectation” mandated workouts will resume next week.
Perhaps the science nerds will get their shit together and produce a vaccine between now and next week. Otherwise I fail to see how a university can order its “student-athletes” back onto the gridiron while its fraternities are still throwing parties of 100+ people.
Frankly, I think a lack of football season would do good for a lot of Ohioans who have outsourced a large swarth of their personality to an amateur football team comprised of black athletes they wouldn’t invite into their house for dinner.
America had our chance. We got the coronavirus cheat code from other countries that weathered the storm before it arrived on our shores. What did we do about it? Our president buried his head in the sand while half the country can’t find the courage to wear a mask in crowded indoor spaces
This goes on top of Rep. Nino Vitale (R-Urbana) earning national headlines for being a towering dumbass:
Ohioans are going to be righteously angry when Ohio State cancels their football season. As they should be. This was entirely preventable. My only hope is they remove their partisan bifocals and remember the cabal of anti-science morons that led us down the road in the first place.
