If Christians were committing genocide would every article still come with paragraphs about how it’s probably hard for them too? Even in alternative media, everyone is still afraid to call out Jews for largely doing jack shit while this happens, in fact many are aiding and abetting genocide locally and online. Nothing changes until their community holds themselves accountable and the constant caveats for their feelings and privilege are cringe.
It’s impossible to say but if they were a minority religion who had endured something akin to the Holocaust only two generations ago… then maybe?
I don’t think it’s fair to say Jews, as a community, have done “jack shit.” There are plenty of Jewish people who have stood in solidarity with Palestine—even some cited in this very article!
Do those voices equal the rabidly pro-Israel billionaire class? Obviously not. But it doesn’t mean they don’t exist, either.
I also don’t think acknowledging the history or the allure of Israel to Jewish people is somehow detrimental to the piece, especially with Part 2 coming tomorrow.
The Jewish Holocaust is only one of a long line of human genocides, but it’s the only one Americans care about. Other minorities that experienced genocide a couple generations ago? (are you even serious bro?) Black Americans, Bosnians, multiple African countries, Tibetans, Chinese Muslims, Vietnamese, the disabled etc… don’t see any of them now using it as an excuse to murder children. The fear of calling them out is palpable and to see it displayed in even alternative media is chilling.
It’s not antisemitism to point out that I still can drive through Bexley and see “I stand with Israel” signs everywhere after I watch a father bury his 6 year old, and that 95+% of the people I see protesting in the street are POC, punks, and like 3 Jews. Yes of course I’m aware we have Jews battling this, but there is no way this continues to this day without the complicity of the rest of Jewish Americans. The fucking Pope was calling this shit out, where are the rabbis?
Imagine being alive to report on Auschwitz but being sure to write it so as to not hurt the feelings of the Nazis that did nothing while it happened. Writing out of fear of retaliation isn’t journalism, it’s propaganda.
An yes, cause I expect SOMETHING from the Jewish leadership in this country I’m someone now blaming all Jews and here comes the victimhood again over tens of thousands of children murdered. You’ve done your part today, sleep well. Not debating world history with Gen Z. Not today.
We aren’t debating world history. I simply said that grouping together an entire ethno-religion (which this article even points out have had some of the most vocal pro-Palestine voices) is loony.
But sure, blame “the Jews” if it helps you sleep at night.

Do you expect Jews to just collectively have the same opinions on every issue?
On child genocide, you’re fucking right I do.
Being furious about genocide is valid. Blaming every Jew for it, is not.
