RACISTS ONLY BRAVE WHEN COVERING THEIR ROTTED BOLOGNA FACES WITH CHEAP BEDSHEETS

The Ku Klux Klan were a bunch of racist nerds who were too scared to show their identity in the 1920s. So it makes sense their cowardice continues in 2019 considering racism has been beaten back out of most public arenas.
On May 25th, a bunch of racists from Indiana will descend on Dayton. Even worse, these cowards will be allowed to cloak their identities behind face masks and bandannas. Oh, and they will have guns, too.
From Laura Bischoff of daytondailynews.com:
The city of Dayton and the Ku Klux Klan-affiliated group it took to court have agreed to a consent decree that will allow the Honorable Sacred Knights to cover their faces with masks and have certain weapons but limit other firearms while rallying on Courthouse Square.
…
The group told the city it was willing to comply with a majority of the provisions, including not dressing in paramilitary or tactical gear and not carrying long guns or assault rifles to the 1-3 p.m. rally.
The agreement also allows only the people on the permit to be at Courthouse Square on the day of the rally, according to the city.
My original prognosis was the Klan wouldn’t show, content with only advertising their wretched existence through the free publicity generated by such gatherings.
Allowing the racists to conceal their identity and carry weapons changes the game. I assume the Dayton police will have learned from the debacle in Charlottesville and take a proactive role in protecting the racists, who are their friends, and keeping them separated from counter-protests.
I figured I would be doing something cooler than threatening Ku Klux Klan members on Memorial Day weekend, but sadly this fits right along the hellacious timeline of 2019.
SUICIDES SURGE IN EVERY COUNTY IN OHIO

Ohio is perennially in the bottom five of states in public health spending. We value low taxes for the wealthy instead of investing in our people, and nowhere is that more clear than the rise in suicides over the last decade.
From JoAnne Viviano of dispatch.com:
The rate of suicides in Ohio increased by 24% from 2008 and 2017, according to a new study analyzing vital statistics. And details about who is being most affected can help in the fight to reverse the trend, advocates say.
Among those details are that the highest rates of suicide are in Appalachian counties and the suicide rate among men is four times higher than women.
Rates also increased 80% among children 14 and younger and 57% for Ohioans 60 and older, according to the report released Monday by the 28-organization public-private Ohio Alliance for Innovation in Population Health.
Drilling down to populations and communities most severely impacted can help target limited state resources toward those areas, said Orman Hall, the study’s author.
Suicide rates rising 80% among children 14 and younger would be appalling for state politicians that pride themselves on being “pro-life,” yet this news won’t cause as much as a tremor in the Statehouse because any effective response would require an investment in public health.
The rates surged in our state’s poorest regions, southern and southeastern Ohio. This falls squarely on our Legislature, which is currently obsessed with abortion and guns. These regions need to awaken and quit sending regressive pigs to the trough. It’s literally killing their people.
SOCIAL MEDIA SQUABBLING SHINES SPOTLIGHT ON SHAKY RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LAW ENFORCEMENT

The Sheriff of Pike County and its county prosecutor will be two key cogs in prosecuting the Rhoden family massacre.
The murderous family is probably feeling better about their chances of an acquittal than when they were arrested, because the Sheriff is under audit for possible embezzlement and is posting his way through the drama with the county prosecutor in his sights.
From Max Londberg and Bob Strickley of cincinnati.com:
Sheriff Charles Reader was accused in November of stealing cash seized from drug cases handled by the sheriff's office to fund a gambling problem. An anonymous source made the allegation in a complaint to the Ohio Auditor’s Office.
…
Pike County Prosecutor Rob Junk requested a special prosecutor be appointed for the investigation of Reader.
In a lengthy, cryptic Sunday night Facebook post, Reader took aim at Junk after Junk sent the sheriff a letter requesting he remove himself and a deputy from any ongoing investigations. The deputy was found to have previously lied about her conduct while working in neighboring Ross County.
"One thing I know for sure, it’s past time to clean the 'Junk' out of Pike County," Reader wrote in a Sunday night post.
Junk then posted his own lengthy, less cryptic response that included the content of the letter he sent to Reader's office.
A decade ago, Facebook was a hip place to meet new friends and strange women. Now it’s instrumental in shredding our democracy and used by county prosecutors and sheriffs to air each other’s dirty laundry ahead of the state’s most pivotal criminal trial.
At this point I’m just hoping to live long enough to see Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg imprisoned for his crimes against humanity.
OHIO LOVES ITS PRISON-INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX

Georgia and Ohio were neck-and-neck for the most barbaric anti-abortion bill in America. It looks like the Peach State has trounced us in residents on probation and parole.
But 1 in 35 Ohioans on probation and parole is ridiculous for a state that professes to love the freedom provided by small government and low taxes.
SWEET JESUS, PIKE COUNTY, GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER

I’m currently watching Chernobyl on HBO. It’s horrifying, but the good news is I’m now a nuclear physicist. As such, it seems odd to me that Pike County built a middle school near a nuclear power plant.
From wlwt.com:
A Pike County, Ohio, middle school has been closed after enriched uranium was discovered inside.
The enriched uranium was detected inside Zahn's Corner Middle School, according to a letter from the Scioto Valley Local School District.
The letter states the U.S. Department of Energy air monitor adjacent to the middle school also detected neptunium 237 -- a byproduct of nuclear reactors and plutonium production.
The district has closed the middle school through the end of the school year. A longer closure is possible, district officials said.
Closing a school over a little uranium? Psh. In my day we attended school built over a toxic munitions dump, and it only made me stronger.

THOSE WMDs. Warren Buffet’s multi-billionaire partner: America’s healthcare system is a disgrace… Female spies and their secrets… One day with the squad that removes needles and feces from downtown Portland streets… Los Angeles fire season is beginning again, and it will never end… How exercises affects our memory… Chernobyl would have been way worse without the heroism of three men.
