This week in Ohio Man…
I have never stolen someone’s vehicle (hi haters!). But if I were to engage in grand theft auto, I would probably choose a vehicle that’s not nearly as conspicuous as a big yellow school bus.
Because that’s exactly what one Ohio Man did this week, and it predictably didn’t end well for him.
From Chris Essex of wthitv.com:
According to ISP a 32-year-old man named Chad Murdock stole the school bus in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was allegedly the only person in the bus.
It happened on Tuesday morning around 10:15 a.m.
Officials in Ohio contacted Indiana State Police. Police in Ohio said a school bus had been stolen and was driving west on I-74 near Batesville, Indiana.
When police in Indiana tried to pull Murdock over, he reportedly failed to stop. The bus went off the road and drove through several fields and yards and then back onto the road.
To ultimately get the bus to stop, police had to use a tire deflation device. Murdock allegedly drove into another field - where he ultimately stopped after officers boxed him in.
From there, Murdock was arrested.
You might be wondering why in the Hell somebody would steal a school bus. The answer is drugs. That man did a bunch of drugs and probably needed to go somewhere. He stumbled upon a bus, which probably had the keys in the ignition, and decided that was the quickest path from Point A to Point B.
Doubt that guy believed the guards when he woke up in a jail cell, and they informed him about his escapades. That wasn’t a dream, buddy! You really did that.
And for what? A joyride to Indiana of all places? I’d be sick.
This week in The Rooster…
