If you are one of the fabled members of The Patriots Caucus who put in for stickers two weeks ago, those are going in the mail tomorrow morning. I apologize for the delay in getting those out, but as it’s known, a Marionaire is always on time—he can never be late!
If you don’t have your free loot by this week, please respond to an email, and I’ll get you sorted, no questions asked.
If you’re not a subscriber, now is as good a time as any to join. On Monday I’ll have an interview with longtime Hell’s Angels sachem Johnny Bartolomeo, who will give us some insight into the environment facing convicted former Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder at his new home at FCI Elkton.
I’m biased, obviously, but it should be a good one!
This week in Ohio Man…
A Grove City man, who was already in prison due to killing a woman with his car, was arrested this week for his actions on January 6th, 2021 if you can believe that.
From Adam Conn of nbc4i.com:
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – A Grove City man already serving five years in prison was arrested Wednesday and is faced with several charges for his alleged role in the January 6, 2021, breach on the U.S. Capitol.
According to the Department of Justice’s U.S. Attorney’s Office, Benjamin Shuler, 28, is accused of civil disorder and assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers, both felony offenses.
Additionally, Shuler faces the following misdemeanor charges: entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds; disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds; engaging in physical violence in a restricted building or grounds; disorderly conduct in a Capitol building; and engaging in an act of physical violence on Capitol grounds or buildings.
There might have never been a better time to participate in an insurrection at the Capitol Building than during a global pandemic. And yet these guys didn’t even bother wearing masks and had no firm plan other than doing some felony-level petty vandalism.
I can only imagine Shuler’s surprise when federal agents came to arrest him while he was already in prison. That’s that Grove City ingenuity that has led to two other residents also being charged for participating on January 6th.
Still, you have to admire the stupidity in participating on January 6th just weeks after you were charged with vehicular homicide. But I guess at that point Shuler probably felt he had nothing to lose and the charges wouldn't stick in the Trump Utopia he planned to install that day.
If only he knew how wrong he was…
This week in The Rooster…
Only two dispatches this week due to the noble holiday that is Labor Day.
The ticking time bomb in the Bob Young case. The previously unnamed Ohio House staffer at the center of Rep. Young’s first arrest in July.
Josh Mandel is headed back to divorce court. If you’re going to lie in divorce court about your financial assets, don’t run for Senate and expose those lies like Josh Mandel did. (This dispatch is free for all.)
As always, be sure to follow The Rooster on Twitter and TikTok for all of Ohio’s depravity, all the time.
