Storm Comes to the Suburbs for Once
Meanwhile the Mayor and his hogs will gladly lie to you.
It was about the time last Saturday when a Notre Dame teenage fan shoved a milk rag into my face to assuage the brutal effects of tear gas that I found myself thinking, “Why are we continuing to protest in the one area where every Central Ohio cop and National Guardsman has been entrenched for the last 72 hours?”
This fight is for more than a couple blocks within the downtown business district, which is why I was happy to see the protests move into the suburbs yesterday.
Color me nude and shocked that the police weren’t as froggy to unleash chemical weapons in a wealthy, predominately white suburb despite protestors engaging in THE EXACT SAME tactics as the ones downtown.
I am also a big proponent of reminding elected officials that we know where they sleep at night. Mayor Ginther can talk out of both sides of his mouth for as long as he wants, but he is only capable of understanding our struggle when his wealthy neighbors call him to complain protestors interrupting the final stretch of their commute home from their six-figure job to their affluent conclave that they all see as a life achievement.
Once again, the CPD and the National Guard did not materialize in blacked-out vans to unleash a fusillade of wooden bullets in front of the mayor’s neighbors.
The pigs much prefer protests to happen in boarded-up areas of business where they can get away with lying about property damage rather than give wealthy suburbanites a front-row seat to the violence that their tax dollars finance.
It’s times like these that you realize there is often very little difference between the leaders of our two political parties. When confronted with the ramifications of his pussyfoot politics, Mayor Ginther chose to lie to the public.

Columbus Police arrest records released Wednesday contradict repeated claims by Mayor Andrew Ginther and Chief Tom Quinlan that the destructive elements of local protests were led by "outside agitators."
According to records obtained by WOSU, of the 89 people arrested by Columbus Police during demonstrations Friday through Tuesday, 84 live in Central Ohio ZIP codes. At least 55 of those arrested are Columbus residents.
Columbus Police identified 46 of those arrested as white, and 43 as black.
Between May 29-June 2, most of the arrests reported during protests were for non-violent minor offenses like failure to disperse and curfew violations.
Columbus residents also make up the overwhelming majority of those facing the most serious charges. Of the 13 people arrested on rioting and aggravating rioting charges, 11 live in Columbus. One ZIP code was shielded by police for unknown reasons.
Speaking from experience, your identity is one of the first things procured by police after they whoop your ass and mash your face in the pavement.
Mayor Ginther and Chief Quinlan knew before the sun rose that the cops arrested Columbus residents.
However, that reflects on their piss-poor leadership, which is why they chose to LIE to the public that pays their salaries.
Ginther and Quinlan knew that public records would expose their lies, and they didn’t care because they knew their lies would be repeated verbatim by their lapdogs in the mainstream press and would travel much further than the inevitable fact check.
Given that our “leaders” will blatantly lie about the identities of those arrested, why in the world should we trust these charlatans when they tweet garbage like this?
Seems to me if they found “a bus registered in Vermont filled with bats, rocks, meat cleavers and axes” that the next step would be releasing the identity of the person to whom that bus is registered.
Where are the pictures of this bus? Where are the pictures of the meat cleavers? All we have is the word of a proven liar.
Same with a break-in to critical infrastructure that was successful right until the time it came to disable that infrastructure. We give the police millions of dollars a year and apparently they can’t even protect our critical infrastructure during a time of historic unrest.
I’m running out of words for these unaccountable hogs. All I can say is congratulations to the Columbus Centrists that chose increased property values over a functional local government.
Mayor Ginther literally got caught red-handed accepting bribes as president of city council and these clowns promoted him to Mayor because the local political machine put his fat fucking face on a sample ballot. At least Republican voters had the heart to say fuck you to their party elite.
I have been labeled a radical for these thoughts and I wear that label with pride.
Frankly, I’m embarrassed for you if you think this is a time for meek politics and pictures of pigs taking a knee for a photo-op 30 minutes before they gas the protestors they claimed to support.
Your city government is riddled with corrupt cowards and your police force is a gang of unaccountable racist fascists. So, I guess my question is… What are you going to do about it?
