I remember sitting in elementary school looking at black and white photos of white cops attacking black people in the streets and thinking, “Wow, it’s totally cool how Martin Luther King Jr and Lyndon Johnson came together and cured racism in America.”
That was a dumb-ass thought from a dumb-ass middle-class white kid and frankly I’m embarrassed I ever thought that. This country is just as racist as it was in 1968. All those racist white people from those pictures are either still alive and sitting on your local school board or had kids they indoctrinated with their hatred.
The Minneapolis police lynched George Floyd in broad daylight last week. All that was missing was a rope and tree. It was something that could happen in literally any city in America in 2020.
Sure, that dirtbag that kept his knee on Floyd’s throat for nine minutes is currently on suicide watch in prison. But the other four cops that stood sentinel while the deed was done? They’re still free to beat their wives, which is a past-time of 40% of cops.
Floyd’s murder didn’t happen in Columbus. But only our elected “progressive” officials would peddle the notion that Discovery City is a post-racial oasis.
Columbus didn’t desegregate its schools until 1980. It is still segregated in 2020 by the I-71 interstate the federal government put through the thriving black neighborhood of the Near East Side.
It is also patrolled by an unaccountable racist gang that regularly brutalizes black bodies, targets our criminal president’s political opponents for arrest, runs protection rackets on strip clubs and abducts and murders sex workers.

Everything was peaceful in Columbus right until the CPD arrested Ahmaud Arbery on Thursday for the crime of being black and exercising his legal right to open carry an assault rifle at an otherwise peaceful protest.
It didn’t have to be this way. Respect is always a two-way street, which is why you won’t read about any chaos in Lorain this weekend:
Columbus went the other way.
We live in a city where the Tammany Hall Democrats have let the CPD commit crimes to the point they think they can get away with hatching a conspiracy on their FOIA-able emails.
Our mayor would rather sit in his $525,000 house in some suburb called “The Knolls” and drink $500 wine with his corrupt lobbyist former neighbor than put his soft, shitty body on the line by confronting the police violence he condones and addressing protestors in their face.
As a result, the police department has taken a bunch of equipment hand-me-downs from the military-industrial complex and their tactics have boomeranged back home on America’s brown people.
Now we have a bunch of dudes who got bullied in high school living out their G.I. Joe fantasies — as shown by this smiling clown who took a picture of the protestors he was about to unleash an LRAD cannon upon:
We live in a society where cops have to murder a man on camera to face any criminal charges and even then it’s roll of the cosmic dice.
What I’m saying is our society has by-and-large given the a green light to cops to beat and rob people in situations like this and even then they devolve into the anonymous thugs they claim to detest:

What white liberals crying over broken windows or a looted Target fail to realize is the cops love the bad orange man in the White House. They will use these exact tactics to suppress whatever protests inevitably erupt whenever President Business Deals claims the Democrats used voter fraud to rig an election against him.
When I got arrested for “crossing into an emergency zone,” five(!) cops in riot gear ganked my ass and mashed my face into the pavement. Then they tossed me into the back of a paddywagon with the heat on full blast or around an hour until I started screaming about how they were putting their pensions at risk by killing someone they clearly viewed as a piece of shit.
Then they took my $89 and left me with $1, which I have to admit is a quality “fuck you” move. They also probably noticed the Socialist Rifle Association membership card in my wallet and took my REAL ID to put me on whatever Antifa watchlist their crooked colleagues in the FBI maintain.
I got shot on Saturday with a wooden bullet for the crime of filming police trying to use a horse to crush a non-violent protestor for the crime of standing on a street after being politely asked to leave.
On Sunday, the cops relaxed their tactics despite keeping the 10 p.m. curfew in place. Unsurprisingly the protestors also remained peaceful on account of being outgunned by a count of roughly 500 to 1.
I arrived downtown last night at 7:46 p.m., which by my count was two hours and 14 minutes ahead of the deadline for police saying they would begin unleashing the violence that they had been fantasizing about all day.
As you can see, there was no violence as people of all race and creeds came together with a very simple message of “Fuck Donald Trump.”
People were tweeting me asking about the politics of those white guys with assault rifles like I was interviewing everyone there about their world views.
At best they were like me when I go downtown later today: White men willing to defend black protests with our right to brandish a murder machine in public.
At worst they were white out-of-state fascists who came for “the Big Luau,” which is Nazi code for a race war.
Either way, they were peacefully assembled and exercising their right just the same as the pro-coronavirus protests from a few weeks back before we decided to say fuck social distancing to remind cops they work for us.
The cops decided to respond to what amounted to a block party by calling their big brothers in the National Guard. As my army recruiter with the AIM screenname “chicksNthongs37” once sagely said, America would be fucked if we ever had to depend on the National Guard to fight their way out of a wet paper bag.
So this is about as much action as they can hope for, which is why they get so horny to mace and shoot wooden bullets at protestors running the other way.
In their piglet minds, they are the brave troops storming the Nazi machine gun nests at Normandy. Which is totally fucked up because if they ever had the heart to be at Normandy, they would be the ones with the red armbands.
This is akin to the Ohio State football team taking a team picture at the 50-yard line after beating Shawnee State by 60. I would be laughing so hard if literally every dipshit in that picture didn’t have the power to punish and enslave people who have to work for a living.
A lot of my white friends who have beautiful families and careers have been asking what they can do other than taking a tear gas canister or risk getting arrested on a criminal charge their MAGA boss would fire them for.
The best advice I have — other than, you know, listening to black point of views — is to read as much anti-racist literature as you can. It is not enough to say you’re “not racist.”
