This dispatch is being brought to you by a member of President Xi’s Patriots Caucus while D.J. Byrnes is offline.
The Rooster left off last Monday with an announcement that it would die, and that a new project under the Rooster News umbrella would rise from its ashes.
Those plans were admittedly half-formed and are still taking shape. One thing is for certain - I need another week away from Statehouse hobgoblins and the ever-present cacophony blasting from Columbus’ highways. Returning any sooner would be a bad idea for The Rooster and for me. The losers in power should enjoy this week without my presence. But if they have learned anything, they know not to get comfortable.
Top members of the Patriots Caucus proved their dedication to the cause this past week, and for that, I am thankful. Even more importantly, they showed they cared about D.J. Byrnes as a person. These comrades will surely be rewarded in the next life, but I will show my gratitude in this life as well, as soon as I return.
I do not have access to The Rooster on Twitter, or most other forms of communication. If you have been messaging me, I will try to catch up when I get back.
