Jesse is just another arm of FCDP insider puppetry. He’s gonna get rolled by the machine. Nothing changes when he beats Tiara. Kate was our shot but Cbus loves self inflicted wounds.

Someone should look into the foundation that Liz Walter’s has a Board position on that has stock ties to Blackrock and appears to be a pass through for funds that land in strange places, like pro Israeli schools, and with strange legal fees in the millions annually.

If that were true about Jesse, every FCDP official not named Sarah Ingles wouldn’t have endorsed Ross.

I voted for Kate. But even if she had won in November, it’s still one seat on a nine-member council.

If Kate voters turn out for Jesse, the machine candidate goes down—hard. And ultimately, isn’t that what we want? To show these guys can be beat? Jesse is the only option forward on that front, and I hope you and other Kate voters support him. Beating the machine is that important to me, because, again, machines tend to crumble after a singular loss. We can sort out policy differences after that.

They were already talking about shifting and putting their money into Jesse before yesterday. Tiara is a toxic asset at this point.

But yet another lawyer funded by Stonewall Dems isn’t anything different than what we already have, is it? Jesse is going to get tossed around and will get in line with the party.

I made the point to speak with him personally and go to the forums and he’s earnest but doesn’t have what it takes to fight this machine, cause he’s still a cog in it. He was generally unimpressive and either couldn’t talk in specifics like Kate about actual city policy, or was afraid to. He’s not experienced enough and going to both owe a lot of favors and have half the team pissed at him too.

With a real ward system, Kate wins outright. She had zero money and had to go all over the city, and she did. Jesse didn’t even buy signs. I believe he’s ultimately an errand boy for power brokers that want to take over for Big Sexy, but who ultimately won’t change much, time will tell, hope you prove me wrong.

But I won’t vote for either. Kate was the best vote I’ve ever cast in this town, and maybe the last.

Great points, but you gotta start somewhere. And even though the real estate machine seems to have a tight grip on the town politics, the actual people in place are third rate at best. Once you shine a light on them and introduce anyone who might threaten them, they quiver like Jello.

Stonewall Dems are as much into the developers pockets, if not more, as anyone else. I agree with you, but I don’t believe anything can be started with FCDP.

I have a serious issue that we can draw a straight line from the current Beatty repping my district in council to the genocide. We have council members getting free trips to Israel. There is no starting over with a party thats overseen by Les Wexner, nationally funds bombs on kids, and values tax abatements over education our kids. You think Wexner wants a clownish club kid like Tiara or a nice useful buttoned up Jesse? These are Republicans in blue ties, never forget it.

I’m not voting for any of these monsters until the bombing ends and we’ve started purging the party into jail cells.

Kate would have shown up in boxing gloves, Jesse is gonna shake hands, smile, show a little pushback to make voters feel they did their part, and not a fucking thing will change.

The Columbus Way.

All true. However Wexner’s time among us is nearly over. He’ll die in shame. Only in a two stoplight burg as this will his discredited name still adorn half useful buildings. Then maybe, maybe progressives can find a foothold. Remember, these people we’re talking about really aren’t that smart.

I am reminded of a David Mamet quote here:

"Old age and treachery will always beat youth and exuberance."

It think its dangerous to not think the folks that have enriched themselves off of us for decades aren't smart, they def are manically clever, it's that they're willing to be criminally petty to the max no matter who they hurt.

What happens when Wex is gone will be fun to watch, but I expect I will be watching from a distance, not many reasons to stick around here anymore, not that they care, lol.

Elsewhere in the state or outside of it, but there has to be somewhere that doesn't have dirty council members passively supporting genocide.

Totally agree about Kate. Being able to cast a vote for her felt liberating.

Target literally sounds like a front for some insidious big dawg politics.

Glad to see Householder and Borges lost their appeals but keeping fingers crossed for what comes next.

Your Cyprus story is too crazy to be made up, but weren't there easier ways to get a fake ID than wiring $150 to Cyprus? (Not that I would know from personal experience, LOL)

I would've taken the Cyprus ambassadorship just to have the word Plenipotentiary in my title.

Is it known how much money Liz Walters awarded to her new employer?
