Yes. Sad thing is, they all put Israel first.

And not only that, but I will never forget the video from 2024 where a local immigration attorney asked Sherrod a question about supporting Israel, and Sherrod just stood there while his underpaid campaign staffers tried to repossess the microphone.

If you are going to arm the genocidal state, then stand on it, brother. But he did the same to Haitian immigrants too.

Sorry but Israel doesn't decide my vote. He's not "working for Tel Aviv."

Great we will be lucky to crack 40% with our current candidate. ODP is more pathetic now than when I worked in politics and that is quiet the accomplishment

This is my opinion but Sherrod backed her because he believed she could keep it within the margins while offering no pushback to national interests calling the shots.

And in his defense, it could get him back to the Senate!

If only there could be a debate between him and Useless, but Useless will probably pull a Kasich and refuse to be seen anywhere during the campaign.

He’s always been so stellar at installing gubernatorial candidates before. (See Nan Whaley)

Oh, I think she will do WAY better than 40%. How much better remains to be seen but I think the race will be within ten points.

You know the point is to win not keep it within 10%, right?

I was responding to the idea that she won't break 40%. I think she might win but a year is a long time.

Agreed. Given the national environment, the only way she doesn’t hit 40 is she’s engulfed in a crazy scandal, which, is always a non-zero chance for first time candidates on the big stage.

All the vacillating made Ryan a no-hoper from the start. I heard Amy Acton speak last night and she was terrific. She's no Rich Cordray who would've been a great governor but he is the worst campaigner I ever encountered. He acted like he was ready to bolt from every voter interaction and like he would get cooties from shaking hands. However, if you cornered him at an event and asked him a wonky policy question, he'd engage you for ten minutes.

If Ryan were serious, he should’ve declared months ago. Teasing a run for months instead just makes someone appear indecisive, unserious and weak. He indeed did us all a favor by choosing not to run and not dragging out this ridiculous drama any further.

On that note, I must give Dr. Acton credit. She has put herself out there early and has been campaigning relentlessly. I’m by no means seeing her gubernatorial run through rose colored glasses, but at this point, we could do a whole lot worse. In such strange times, she might actually have a legit chance against a weak-ass Republican candidate in Vivek Ramaswamy. The fallout from MAGA’s crack-up and civil war with Fuentes and his ilk remains to be seen, but the Ohio GOP may come to regret circling their wagons around Ramaswamy to suck up to Trump, rather than allowing an actual primary to take place next year with Yost and Tressel in the mix.
