This endorsement isn't for the primary, it's for the general election in November.

Brilliant! The spectacle of witnessing connected, privileged and entitled insiders paint connected, privileged and entitled insider Tiara as some kind of victim is almost too much to bear.

If I wasn’t already married you’d be in severe danger of a proposal after this one. My therapist sends their thanks, as well. Outstanding call out, I have no notes.

Posts like these restore some of the sanity inevitably lost to daily attrition in the current political era. Thank you.

Thanks for the mention of the Randolph Freedpeople.

I also was schooled in Ohio, but don't remember this ever being mentioned.

Confession: I even TAUGHT Ohio history and never knew about them.

Maybe Jarrells should subscribe! Mine just renewed today BTW, my one year anniversary of coming on board - it's been a wild ride!

This is from today's Robin Snyder post and makes me wonder if Wexner is about to be breaking news again?

"Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner put it so plainly that even the slow ones in the back should be able to catch on: “According to the WSJ, he knew he was in the files. The Attorney General helped him hide the files. He likely has already destroyed the files that implicate him. Now we need an investigation that makes Watergate look small.” Yeah. What he said.

Kind of makes this morning’s news dump from CNN look small by comparison, although the photos were great: “Exclusive: Newly discovered photos and video shed fresh light on Trump’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein.” Well, looky-here: turns out that Trump’s former bestie Jeffrey attended Trump’s wedding to Marla Maples, and that Don and Jeff also hung out and laughed it up at a Victoria’s Secret fashion event in New York. I just love taking a trip down memory lane, don’t you? The story notes that Trump, during a call when he was asked about the wedding photos, responded, “You’ve got to be kidding me,” before repeatedly calling CNN “fake news” and hanging up. Dude needs some new material."

Frankly, I hate that parties endorse anyone running in primary elections. I'd like them to stop doing that, but I'm sure I am a lone voice crying in the wilderness. It gives unfair advantage to people who do the hard work of campaigning, people who knock on doors and talk to voters about their qualifications, people who don't have name recognition.

I attended a gathering in Springfield a few years ago, during which a woman who ran for public office in a metro Columbus district (not sure maybe Hilliard?) spoke about this topic. She stated her Party endorsed a primary candidate who was not her. Her take on it was that in a democracy, endorsements are inherently unfair. As a Central Committee person in Clark County, I recall discussing this endorsement issue and how it can bite the Party in the butt and has done so in the past when an endorsed candidate gets caught doing something scandalous. Bottom line, I do believe endorsements, whether for primaries or general elections can turn out to be a bad idea. After all, look at all the terrible endorsed candidates holding office right now!

Except that the entire city level apparatus all endorsed in the Primary too.

Correct. It’s all about following and not leading.

Right! That's why Dems don't win. They are in love with status quo. Of course, gerrymandering is a big obstacle......

Correct, however Ohio democrats LOVE GERRYMANDERING. It allows them to win every election without effort or any platform. Sure, they don't have the majority in the state house, but THEY DON'T CARE. Imagine the effort needed to listen and communicate with voters? They are lazy.
