A depressing thing about Ohio is that our political scumbag class is generally left untouched by national news organizations. But, every so often, one of these beautiful idiots will kick themselves in the dick hard enough to earn nationwide attention.
It’s always embarrassing for Ohio and furthers our stigmatization as a polluted backwater outpost worthy of its increasing irrelevance.
But it’s satisfying, albeit predictable, seeing schmucks like Congressman Max Miller take a primetime perp walk while campaigning for re-election.
Miller faces union ironworker Brian Poindexter in Ohio’s 7th Congressional District, originally forecasted as a “safe Republican” race that could become a toss-up by election day.
Miller has nobody to blame but himself.

Miller came to Congress in 2022, when former Ohio State wide receiver-turned-Congressman Anthony Gonzalez quit like a dog after doing the brave and noble crime of voting to impeach President Donald Trump.
Miller earned his qualifications as “the Music Man,” the derisive nickname bestowed upon him by fellow Trump aides, for his duty to play Trump’s favorite showtunes whenever the big man entered one of his famously tempestuous moods.
Hog voters only needed to see Trump throw his arm around Miller Miller—who had never previously had a real job in the private sector—to send him to the halls of Congress.
Miller, like a lot of figures in the Trump Administration, has proven himself to be a spoiled man-child who has faced allegations of violence against women since he was a student at Shaker Heights University and pushed a woman down the stairs.
Miller denied the charge earlier this year; however, the victim recently told Mother Jones that 20 years later, getting pushed down the stairs remained one of the most “traumatic nights” of her life.
Trump has since continued to support Miller despite domestic violence allegations coming from former Trump press secretary Stephanie Grisham and MAGA Senator Bernie Moreno’s daughter, Emily Moreno.
That this ended with Miller refusing to exit his increasingly tough race shouldn’t surprise anyone given he has previously refused to leave despite a series of bizarre and unhinged events in the past two years alone.
