I’m reading Abundance currently, which seems to mainly be a critique of progressive government by progressives who say they want things to function better. They argue the left has focused too much on redistributing resources (not a bad goal in and of itself) and too little on actual production and outcomes, making it hard to build things (like housing and transportation) and solve major problems.
Curious if you disagree with that thesis or have other bones to pick with the authors.
Government unable to build anything (like high-speed passenger rail) is the subject of the new book, Abundance by Klein / Thompson.
I disagree with a lot of that theory… but they are dead on about that part.
